It's my first class. What can I expect?
Hard work. But don't worry - we have a very welcoming community and our trainers will always go through the entire class style and exercises with you before you start exercising. After the explanation and demo of the class, you can expect a quick dynamic warmup before you get to the real deal. Once the class is over, a quick cooldown and stretch will take place. If you ever have any questions during the class or need a break, go for it! Ask questions and take breaks if you need to!
I've never done weightlifting before. Can I still come to classes?
Absolutely! We have had people try our classes who have barely lifted a dumbbell before. You definitely don't need to be an expert but we do expect you to work hard. All are welcome - we just ask that if you are very new to exercise or have any injuries or medical conditions to let our staff know in advance.
I'm not very strong. Will I be able to keep up with the class?
Yes! You are free to select whichever weights you like for exercises or take breaks whenever you feel the need to. The only thing that is important is that the class flow be maintained - so if there are people behind you waiting to do the exercise, please transition through the exercises when our coaches tell you to.
I'm not sure I want to commit with a membership. What should I do?
The best option for new members is to try your first class for 50% off! So only 15$ your first time with no commitment! What are you waiting for?
CLASSES
Where can I find a list of all your class styles with descriptions?
Our classes page
I have a recovering injury. Are these classes right for me?
Ultimately it comes down to the injury. If your injury inhibits you from performing most exercises, then the classes might be a bit fast paced for you. At that point, we would recommend personal training one on one with one of our trainers. If you have a minor recovering injury, you can modify exercises as you need to. Always let the instructors know if you have any limitations because of your injury.
Will the instructors help me with exercise form?
Yes! Our instructors are constantly moving around the room correcting form as they see fit. If you're not sure that you're performing an exercise correctly, just ask! Christine and Jonel are super friendly and approachable!
How many classes per week should I do?
At No Limits we offer 4 signature class styles - ideally, we recommend doing each class once a week for best results. We understand this might be a lot to ask off the bat. Maybe start with 1-3 classes per week and work your way toward regularly attending 4 per week.
Will lifting weights make me bulky if I'm a woman?
NO! This is a very old school way of thinking and is not true at all. Our workouts (even if they focus on lifting heavy weights) will not make you bulky. They will help you increase lean muscle mass, lose fat, and get a more lean and strong look. Strong is BEAUTIFUL.
